The restoration of Palazzo Carlotti in Verona: a harmonious blend of history and modernity. The intervention has revived the Baroque grandeur of the palace while preserving its original spaces.

Palazzo Carlotti was one of the most important examples of Baroque architecture in Verona, both for the rarity of buildings constructed in this style in the city and for the grandeur and majesty of the building itself. Its magnificence was due not only to the size of the palace but also to its privileged location, overlooking a central and highly valuable area between Corso Cavour and Via Diaz, facing Porta Borsari.

The restoration project of the palace was born from the desire of a private company to establish its headquarters on the prestigious main floor of the building. The intervention included the restoration of the interior spaces, with an upgrade of technologies and systems, allowing the palace to be reused and enhanced once again.

The renovation project, carried out by Studio ABCPLUS, took into account the original structure and spatial distribution values. The idea was to preserve the sequence of rooms, keeping the main paths intact. To achieve this, some pre-existing passages were reopened, and only a few space-dividing interventions were introduced, using light furniture and glass partitions. This choice ensured the necessary functional division for the new use while preserving the perception of the original spaces, maintaining the possibility of rearranging the layout in the future if needed.

The interventions were designed to be delicate and completely reversible, so as not to compromise the original finishes and main structures. The goal was to create a functional space suited to new needs, while also breathing new life into the Palazzo, thus adding value to the entire building and the urban context in which it is located.
